The 250 Preliminary Designs were created for the National Museum of American History’s upcoming exhibition featuring 250 different items to celebrate the 250th anniversary of America. While keeping accessibility, bilingual design, lighting conditions, collection care, and permanent installations in mind, the 250 preliminary designs explore how to best represent and celebrate the American story and people.
